What is an Against the Spread competition ?

In the Against The Spread league, you are predicting which teams can beat the spread(handicap) over the course of the NFL season which runs for 17 weeks.
Over the course of the season, it is your job to assign 1-10 points each week to teams you believe can beat the spread.

Example:
Picking Denver Broncos -6.5 points against the LA Rams. Instead of the game starting at 0 vs 0, the game starts -6.5(Denver) vs 0 (LA Rams). Alternatively, you could have selected LA Rams +6.5. In this case, the game starts 0(Denver) vs 6.5(LA Rams)
If your selection wins the game with the adjusted scores, you get however many points you assigned to that game.

Your league manager can set up to 8 teams to be picked each week. Teams need to be assigned a value of 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points in an 8 team league. A 6 team league awards points 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1.

You can also get points by predicting the finishing positions of each team in their division along with the AFC and NFC winners. 4 points is awarded for each team whose divisional position you correctly predict. 10 points is awarded for predicting an NFC or AFC winner with an additional 10 for one of these going on to win the superbowl.
